1304.21a1(i) Linguistically and Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum

The program is developmentally and linguistically appropriate, recognizing that children have individual rates of development as well as individual interests, temperaments, languages, cultural backgrounds, and learning styles.

A. All staff will receive training in the current approved curriculum. Staff, to achieve this end, will use the following strategies:

1. Teaching staff will supply a variety of materials and planned activities designed to encourage individual and group play.

2. Teaching staff will provide continuous opportunities for children of all ages and abilities to experience success.

3. The complexity and challenge of activities will be increased by teaching staff as children develop

4. A variety of materials found in the home environment will be used when conducting home visits.
