SUBJECT: Release of a child

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: To ensure safety of children and comply with California law.

1. All parents or designated persons sixteen and older are required to sign their child into and out of the center on the days of school attendance.

1. Sign in sheets are provided in each Center.

1. All sign in sheets are filed and are available for review by Community Care Licensing.

2. A person picking up a child from the Center must be listed on the Emergency Contact & Consent for Emergency Treatment Form.

1. Under no circumstances will a child be released to anyone not listed on this form.
2. If there is a question surrounding the identity of a person picking up a child, staff are asked to check a valid form of picture ID for clarification.
3. This is done for the safety of the child and in accordance with California Law.
