1304.22(e)(1) Staff, volunteers, and children wash
their hands with soap and running water at least at the following times (as
appropriate):

After diapering or toilet use;
-
Before food preparation, handling, consumption, or any
other food-related activity (e.g., setting the table);
-
Whenever hands are contaminated with blood or other bodily
fluids; and
-
After handling pets or other animals.

Hand Washing Procedure (8/97)

The best way to reduce disease risk in the center is for
staff and children to follow recommended hand washing procedures

Use liquid soap and running water
-
Scrub all parts of hands vigorously for at least 10
seconds
-
Rinse hands well. Leave the water running.

Dry hands with paper towel.
-
Use the paper towel to turn off the faucet
